NEXT Program Wrap-up
Friday, May 23, 2014
The five-week Calgary NEXT pre-accelerator program concluded on April 16, with the last of the five sessions offered. Through a structured approach of group discussions, mentor sessions and weekly pre-work deliverables, startups walked away with the skills needed to validate their business idea, a clear understanding of their customer development strategy, a completed market and competitive analysis, a minimal viable product and an investor ready pitch deck.
“The NEXT Program was beneficial to me. It provided a structured approach to validate my solution.” says Tony Arthur of SevenTwentyNine, a NEXT attendee. Arthur along with Trevor Ash of Knack Real Food were nominated for the NEXT First Look Forum September 23-24 in New York City. The NEXT First Look Forum brings together more than fifty managing directors from top accelerators and other seed stage and angel investors. Chosen nominees receive:
•Unprecedented access to dozens of Managing Directors from top accelerator programs and early stage investors
•3 months of additional mentorship and pitch coaching from some of the industry’s finest
•Cohort and peer feedback throughout the process
•A free trip to NYC
We would also like to give a big thank you to the mentors for their time and support:
