This May, Platform Calgary and Edmonton Unlimited came together at Upper Bound 2026 powered by Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii). As the largest AI conference in Canada, Upper Bound bridges world-class research with real business adoption. Together, our goal was to build intentional pathways for founders from both cities–creating a community-driven environment where builders can connect, learn from each other, and unlock new opportunities.

Meet the Founders of the First Platform Pre-Accelerator Cohort
We’re excited to introduce the inaugural cohort of the Platform Pre-Accelerator — a group of founders building solutions across healthcare, construction, transportation, agriculture, e-commerce, and more.This 9-week, in-person, execution-first program is designed for founders who have moved beyond the idea stage and are actively testing their product in-market — working to define their ideal customer, validate demand, and build a repeatable path to early traction. The cohort brings together Calgary-based founders who are building, experimenting, and working to turn early progress into structured, consistent execution.
