Hosted by: CAREERS @ Western Canada High School
In Alberta, CAREERS helps youth aged 15-18 to take on the future. We also welcome Jr High Students to attend to learn about their high school options for Work-integrated Learning. For the 2023-2024 school year, CAREERS is partnering with the Calgary school divisions (Calgary Catholic School District and Calgary Board of Education) to host Information, Communications and Technology fair.
ICT is a broad industry that covers any product or service that will store, manipulate, transmit, or receive information electronically cutting across almost every industry. CAREERS has six focus areas for high school internships: business marketing, digital design, software development, infrastructure, information systems, and data security.
Learn from employer mentors, past students, and education partners about various in-demand career paths available to all students in the skilled trades. Many employers who participate in the fairs hire summer student interns to learn a trade as part of their education. Come hear about opportunities you may never have considered or thought possible to kick-start your career path!
We hope to see you students, parents/guardians, high school graduates 18-20, educators, employers and friends for great nights of networking
